The repository contains dated records of curated avian influenza cases from the 2024-2025 outbreak in the United States of America (U.S.).

In March 2024, avian influenza was detected in U.S. dairy cattle, triggering a nationwide outbreak that spread across commercial cattle and poultry and spilled over into humans, resulting in 70 confirmed human cases and widespread animal infections. These data are available through our interactive One Health outbreak map. In partnership with ThinkGlobalHealth, we also compiled 840 timeline entries—spanning human, animal, wastewater, policy, research, and genomic data—into a publicly accessible chronology, which was featured in The Atlantic.
